IWU presents “Rivian in Central Illinois”

April 16, 12-1 p.m.

Rivian Communications will provide an update to IWU students, faculty and staff on what is happening at the plant. Those who wish to attend the virtual event can find the link here. 

 

CAB hosts “Quad Day”

April 16, 5-8 p.m.

The Campus Activities Board (CAB) will host several activities for the IWU community to enjoy including carnival rides, inflatables, Stuff-A-Plush and painting on the Eckley Quad. There will also be free ice cream from different local distributors.

 

Titan Talks hosts Esports Event

April 16, 7-8 p.m.

IWU Esports will host an open conversation with Esports broadcaster and streaming personality Jon “Fallout” Kefaloukos. Attendees can join the event virtually on the IWU Esports Twitch Channel to learn about Kefaloukos’s experience and journey in Esports. There will also be time for a Q&A. 

 

Peace Garden hosts Spring Honey Harvest

April 17, 12-2 p.m.

The IWU Peace Garden will host its first-ever Spring Honey Harvesting event where students will get to help harvest the honey and bring home a jar. Attendees are welcome to stay the whole time or only part of the event. In the event of rain, the event will be moved to Sunday, April 18. 

 

ODI holds Lavender Graduation

April 18, 11-1 p.m.

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) will host Lavender Graduation, a celebration that recognizes graduating students’ contributions to IWU and the LGBTQIA community. Everyone is welcome to join ODI for this virtual event to help celebrate their students. The Zoom link will be provided closer to the date of the event. 

 

SOM presents Spring Choral Concert

April 18, 3 p.m.

The IWU School of Music (SOM) will host its Spring Choral Concert. All SOM events will premiere online at the listed time, then be available on demand. The links will be posted here.

 

Student Senate holds general assembly

April 18, 6 p.m.

The IWU Student Senate will hold its last general assembly meeting of the semester. The meeting will be held via Zoom. All students are encouraged to attend and discuss issues they feel need to be addressed on campus. 

 

SOM to play Symphony Orchestra

April 18, 7:30 p.m.

The IWU School of Music (SOM) will play their last Symphony Orchestra concert of the semester. The link for the event will be posted here. 

 

Last day of classes

April 21

All IWU students will attend their last day of classes for the Spring 2021 Semester. 

 

Reading Day

April 22

All IWU students will have the day off from classes to prepare for their final exams. 

 

Final Exams 

April 23-27

All IWU students will take their final exams beginning on April 23 and ending on April 27. Scheduled exam times can be found here

 

Final grades due for seniors

April 28

Professors who have seniors in the current graduating class will need to have grades posted by the end of the day.

 

IWU to host Commencement

May 2

The class of 2021 will have their graduation ceremony in-person, socially distanced at Tucci Stadium. The class will be divided up into two different groups, one will go at 10:30 a.m. and the rest will go at 3:00 p.m.

 

All other final grades due

May 4

Professors will post all other student grades by the end of the day.

 

May Term begins

May 5

Current students who are enrolled in May Term will begin classes on May 5.
