About

The Argus is dedicated to upholding free speech and the concept of freedom of the press. An award-winning newspaper, we are one of the oldest student-run publications in the country and a member of the Illinois Collegiate Press Association. The paper is completely run by undergraduate Illinois Wesleyan students from a  variety of majors, including political science, environmental studies, computer science, and psychology. Content is published weekly during the academic year, and the content is all produced by Illinois Wesleyan students.

We are published by Illinois Wesleyan University and printed by P&P Press in Peoria, Illinois. Although the paper is partially funded by Student Senate, the University is not responsible for, nor in any way influences, the content of The Argus.

Editorials are the majority opinion of the editorial board. Columns and letters are the opinion of the writer.
