At the 2022 Bloomington-Normal Entrepreneur of the Year Awards Recognition Dinner, self-described “serial entrepreneur” Marc Talluto will be awarded the Alumni Entrepreneur of the Year from Illinois Wesleyan.

Talluto’s success includes founding Fruition Partners, a technology service management consulting company that was Forbes #1 inner city company in 2014. He comes from a family of teachers, and despite taking a different career path, has remained strongly connected to the university.

He established IWU’s Entrepreneurship Fellowship, a $5,000 grant that is awarded bi-annually to a student’s entrepreneurial pursuit. He also acts as an important asset to IWU’s Design, Technology and Entrepreneurship program, where students learn from his experience and knowledge in the courses he has participated in.

Talluto also assisted and guided students with the “Wesleyan Manor” in 2019, a student-run business that ran a local residential property as an Airbnb. Student interns gained business experience and benefited IWU’s DTE program.

The Recognition Dinner will be held at the DoubleTree, on Thursday, November 3 at 5:30 p.m. Presented by Savant Wealth Management and Illinois Wesleyan University, the event’s proceeds will go to The Petrick Idea Center, a space dedicated to providing students with more innovative opportunities.
